The Dry Season
The dry season starts between June and July.
Due to the progressive withdrawal of the waters (we are now in the vazante cycle), masses of fish are trapped in the shrinking, shallow water pools and the numerous bird species and other animals such as the jacarés - the Pantanal caimans - compete for the abundant food.
In the green open fields the marsh deers and the capybaras share the grazing land with the cattle.
