Pantanal NP opening to tourists

Parque Nacional do Pantanal Mato-grossense (PNPM) - the National Park of Pantanal in Mato Grosso – will open to tourism soon, the MT newspaper A Gazeta reports. The occasion for this announcement was the presentation of the Park\'s Management Plan at FEMA’s (Mato Grosso State Foundation for the Environment) on May, 28th.
This very important decision falls after 23 years of existence for the Park, which so far had been visited only by a few scientists and researchers.
The general management plan is a very recent achievement for the Park and contemplates lots of projects and actions and its implementation has just started. The strategic co-operation between the Park Institution and BomFuturo NPO for a better and improved future in the region stands out significantly among its key-points.

BomFuturo Preservation Area (and the surrounding Parque Fazenda) is bordering with the Pantanal National Park and is therefore vital for the existence of the important and strategic bio-geographical corridor in the overall region.
Authentic eco-tourism with a limited number of tourists is part of a more complete program of eco-sustainable actions which will involve also BomFuturo: the combination of the two elements - conservation and eco-sustainable development - appears to be the real basis for any tangible action aiming to preserve environment and biodiversity on planet earth.
